Empowering children with a quality education is one of the most important functions of parenting. And although education is universally accepted as the key to a successful and stable life, there are a multitude of ideas about what makes a quality education.
Our Story
Jeffrey Smith and Gloria Brown, Co-founders of ADVANTAGES Middle East, share the philosophy that children thrive and reach their full potential when placed in the center of their individual learning journey. However, they also agree that accreditation and quality standards matter.
The Co-founders, both UAE residents with a combined 60 years of education experience, describe making quality education accessible and relevant to each family, a lifelong pursuit. Brown, a native of Dallas, Texas, is a home education parent of nearly 30-years and a highly influential champion for school choice. Smith, a native of Columbia, Maryland, has been supporting schools and families with education technology and resources for nearly 25 years. Smith and Brown met in 2022 and quickly realized that through partnership they could bring their shared vision to reality.
After 2-3 meetings, Pam Dion, CEO and Co-founder of ADVANTAGES Digital Solutions, realized that her education philosophy and business values aligned with Smith and Brown. They agreed to join forces in January 2023 and bring a one-of-a-kind, much-needed education offering to the Middle East and Africa.
ADVANTAGES-DLS, is comprised of an accredited online school and their own proprietary content delivery and school management platform, ASSIST. The ASSIST system was designed by educators who understand that quality education can look different across the world. ADVANTAGES-DLS offers Brown, Smith, and their UAE-based education team, the flexibility and structure to meet the needs of families in the UAE, Middle East, and Africa.
ADVANTAGES Middle East is a trusted resource for schools and families. The company launched by offering a series of focus groups for families and school administrators across the UAE. They learned about the challenges students are facing in a post-Covid world and the resources and services families need to make their aspirations a reality. ADVANTAGES Middle East is relentless in their pursuit for solutions to make academic success a reality in the communities they serve.
